Literally nobody wants their appearance to show the signs of aging. When you are in your late 30s, it becomes extremely difficult to look like your early 20-self. Your skin turns barren, wrinkles start to show, and dryness makes the aging signs even more visible.
It is the time when you start looking for anti-aging skincare products, but not every product is worth your time. That’s why we have brought you the Innisfree Orchid eye cream review, for you to understand if this well-known product is worth your time and money.
We have researched hundreds of anti-aging products, including eye creams. Among the very few products that we have seen to get a lot of positive reviews, Innisfree Orchid eye cream caught our attention because it is from a South Korean brand. Most beauty products are either the US or Europe based, and it is exciting to see an Asian product getting international attention. So how is the product in real? Let’s find out.
About the Manufacturer
Compared to other reputed beauty product brands, Innisfree is relatively new as they started their journey in 2000. Still, that’s 20 good years and no company can survive for two decades without providing their customers with quality products. It takes a lot more time for local brands to go international, and Innisfree has done a brilliant job in that regard.
The most famous product from Innisfree is their Green Tea Seed Serum. The company has always focused on eco-friendly products, as well as manufacturing procedures. The green policy is one of the core reasons why this brand has become a customer favorite in no time.
In Depth Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream Review
In this section, we are going to discuss the ins and outs of the products, and give our verdict on its quality and effectiveness.
Innisfree is not just a cosmetic brand, rather the company specializes in organic products, including consumables. The Innisfree Skincare Series was launched back in 2015, and the Orchid Eye Cream was one of the first products.
Product design and formula haven’t changed since then, the main ingredient of this eye cream, as you can guess, is orchid. Each Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream jar contains 30 ml of this rich formula cream. Some might be a bit disappointed with the packaging, as it does not come with a spatula. If you like to use your eye creams with spatula, you better have one already because this product won’t provide you with any.
Let’s start with the Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream ingredients. Despite orchid being the main ingredient of the product, you will be surprised to see that it does not smell like orchid! This might be disappointing if you want to purchase this product particularly because you want the smell of orchid. The portion of orchid is not very high, it’s just perfect. In addition, a wide selection of emollients and humectants are used in the formula, in fact in larger proportions than orchid. Some of the notable ingredients include shea butter, glycerin, and carnauba wax.
Another very interesting ingredient is squalane. As a matter of fact, squalane is produced naturally in our sebum, but we tend to lose it with age. This powerful oil extracted from squalene works as a natural antioxidant, which balances lipid barriers quite remarkably. What does it mean? It means, people with sensitive skin can use this product without risking adverse side effects.
The key ingredient, orchid extract, also contains antioxidant properties and makes your skin bright and glowy. You can see the brightening effect immediately after applying it. If you are expecting your dark circles to go away by applying this product on a regular basis, then you are destined to be disappointed because it has very little effect on dark circles. Last but not the least, it also contains popular anti-aging ingredients like Adenosine and Arbutin.
The cherry on the cake is Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract. Traditionally Innisfree includes green tea leaf extracts in most of their products, and the orchid eye cream is no different. Being a rich source of Vitamin C, green tea leaf extracts helps your skin get rid of dead cells.
As you can see, this product comes with a lot of ingredients that need to be preserved well. The packaging does a brilliant job of doing so. The cream is sealed tight so that it does not catch any moisture. There are products in the market that are not properly sealed and become unusable after just a few days. Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream is definitely not one of them.
One of the major concerns of people who use skin products is how a cream feels on the skin right after applying. Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream feels really good on the skin, in fact it can be compared with Nivea lotions. It is not a thick balm type of product that feels heavy on the skin which might cause discomfort to a few.
However, some people might not like the light feeling because to them it does not seem so premium. It all comes down to personal preferences at the end of the day. Within two minutes of applying this eye cream, you won’t even feel that you have applied something on your skin. We found it to be quite comfortable.
Due to quick absorption, this eye cream is almost invisible. Which is a positive side because you won’t have to wait for an hour or two for this cream to get absorbed before going out. If you are rushing towards your workplace, just apply it and get along. No one will notice that you have cream around your eyes.
Now let’s discuss the results. Those who use this product on a regular basis, have reported less visible fine lines over time. Moreover, it also treats puffiness as the skin looks firmer. Some also used it under their makeup application, and reported no issues. This is a big plus as makeup products very often tend to make your skin dehydrated. Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream will add an extra protective layer over which you can apply your makeup, even heavy foundations.

How to Apply Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream on Your Skin?
It is very easy to apply this product on your skin. If you want to apply it under your eyes with a spatula, you need to purchase one separately as the packaging does not include one. If you are using a spatula, take a small amount of cream at the tip of the spatula and run it along the area under your skin. You can take a bit more if your skin is too dry. Wait for a minute or two to let your skin absorb the cream.
For using without a spatula, take out a small amount on to your index or ring finger. Warm the cream between your fingers before applying and then very gently pat it into your skin. You will feel your skin getting firm and moisturized after a minute or so.
After letting your skin absorb the skin, you can apply makeup. It is recommended not to immediately apply makeup after patting the cream into your skin because heavy foundation might get mixed with the cream if it is not absorbed by your skin yet. For getting the best results, give it a good five minutes before starting to apply makeup. You won’t have to apply too much foundation, as the eye cream itself will give your skin some extra glow and glam.
The Bottom Line
If you are looking for an organic product that gives you guaranteed results, then choosing the Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream would be a wise choice. To a few the price of the product seemed a bit on the expensive side, but we found the pricing fair because the product lasts longer than its competitors, which increases its lifetime value.
